This standalone LPC1769 microcontroller board for robotics applications has onboard sensors, buttons, and LEDs. Interfacing with an Overo-series COM, RoboVero supports Caspa-series cameras and high-level software applications. It also features numerous header pins for GPIO/CAN/I2C/SPI/UART/PWM and analog signals, being well-suited to motor control applications. Manage the Cortex-M3 from the onboard Overo COM or from an external USB interface using our very own HubCommander™ interface.

The Overo series supports Yocto Project, Ubuntu by Linaro and Angstrom software images. The Yocto Project is the principle build system for Gumstix products, while Ubuntu images are prepackaged with ROS, the Robot Operating System.

Bootable microSD cards with this image installed can be purchased as an accessory or downloaded free of charge and installed on any microSD card.

Images can be written to flash memory on supported products. In the absence of a microSD card, these products will boot from flash memory by default.


RoboVero

Firmware for the NXP1769 microcontroller on this expansion board is pre-installed and a python client library is available to interact with this RoboVero™ Expansion board here. In particular, users may find the "python", "python-modules" and "python-pyserial" packages helpful when working with RoboVero.
