Pepper 43C is an Android-ready hand-held single board computer. It is a powerful, complete, and compact embedded solution supporting Yocto and Android with wireless connectivity and a Newhaven 4.3" capacitive multi-touch LCD touchscreen (sold separately).
Once you have tested the board, you may use Geppetto online to design and customize it for your own project.
Now supporting Android, the Pepper 43C is a powerful, single board computer (SBC) for developers interested in a Cortex A8 ARM processor. Featuring standard Gumstix hardware features such as 512 MB DDR3, 802.11 b/g/n with AP mode, Bluetooth 4.1 + BLE, a microSD card slot, audio connectivity, a console port and two USB On-The-Go ports. The Pepper 43R also supports:
- The Newhaven 4.3" capacitive multi-touch LCD touchscreen (sold separately).
- Expansion headers to accommodate applications such as I2C, SPI, and UARTs
- GPIO-controlled push buttons and LEDs
- Support for Yocto Project build system and Android Jellybean
The 4.3” flip-side connector for Newhaven Capacitive Multi-Touch Screen module used in this board is ideal for providing a user interface for all types of products. They are usually used in devices like personal DVD players and handheld devices but are well suited for industrial applications as well.
Important: This board requires external battery (not included). Must be between 5.5V - 36V and fit a 2 cell JST XH balance connector. Examples here.
